After a great success at their first show, Christopher knew that he and this horse made a great team. As they entered the large grassy arena, Christopher stroked his mare's sleek neck and mumbled encouraging words to her. He was confident in both his mount's ability and his own, however he still felt some nerves rush through him at the sight of the jumps. He wasn't sure he'd ever get used to obstacles nearly as tall as the horse he was riding. The bell rang. He had no more time to dwell, and pushed Aphrodite into a canter, gathering himself together as they rounded the course towards the first jump.
